Promote the Positive and Navigate the Negative

t’s “pie in the sky†to expect schools or any other government institution not to accept the “applesauce†of government grants.? The “applesauce†consists of:? Medicaid money, health services, professional development? and in-service, program materials, computers, and all the rest which makes it easier to swallow the “pill†of participation in socialistic health and education reform.? It is necessary for individuals and families to send the message to elected officials from Congress to their local school boards, that certain programs are not wanted, by refusing to participate or accept grants which implement them.? We must also VOTE and become involved at all levels of our government.?
The best way the government can help children (needy or otherwise) is to return social service programs back to free enterprise? rather than taxing families into poverty.? Families suffer when two incomes or more are required to make ends meet.?
Contributing to social and economic problems on the one hand by stifling free enterprise, the government “plays the savior†by offering socialistic, universal health care and social services that create government dependency.? Families are marketed for these programs through the infrastructure of educational outreach programs.?
There would be less need for government spending and proÂgrams if families could keep the money they work for to provide for their own families.? Families who wish to have a parent at home full time for their children, should be able to afford to do so.? Families who provide breakfast, lunch, day care, latch key, health care and other services for their own family should receive additional tax deductions.? Our country benefits and receives two for the price of one when a full-time parent provides services for their own family that the government would otherwise provide at added taxpayer expense.?
It is my opinion that families and communities are capable of providing these services for themselves more economically and efficiently than the government has done.? The government has gone so far as to become a surrogate parent.? It has become necessary to remove the areas of health and education as responsibilities of the government, in order for the true desires of the local community to be identified and met through free enterprise? with local control? and autonomy.
